Annie:

Alright. I was with you all day yesterday.

Dino:

Yes ? It was very nice.

Annie:

It was very kind, you know. She is very good you know and she does everything for you…

Dino:

Exactly, yes.

Annie:

…and the cake and everything.

Dino:

She sends her love to you.

Annie:

I know. I will be talking to her, I hope, again.

Dino:

…and she took about ten pictures while I was with her.

Annie:

I will talk to her.

Dino:

Yes ?

Annie:

I will communicate with her.

Dino:

and she says, well if you do communicate, I will ring you and tell you that the miracle has happened.

Annie:

Well I hope so. It is not for want of trying. I do my best you know. Everyone here helps you know. I am very fortunate to have so many friends.

Dino:

And she was in a very good form, because we were absolutely alone the whole evening.

Annie:

…and that is better perhaps, because Mr Bert* is not interested.

Dino:

No, he’s not interested.

Annie:

…and he had to go out, so you were together.

Dino:

That’s right.

Annie:

But the pictures. I did pose. I posed for the five pictures, you know.

Dino:

Well I hope something will happen on those, uh, pictures.

Annie:

Well I want to. I try, you know. I hope so.

Dino:

She’s taken about ten pictures, and ah…

Annie:

I like for you...might bring my pictures here?

Dino:

Yes darling, I’ve given her the same pictures.

Annie:

You have ?

Dino:

Yes. I’m going to give Jim Ellis also…

Annie:

You are going to give him a picture of me ?

Dino:

Yes.

Annie:

Oh, he will put with his pictures in his room.

Dino:

He likes it very much.

Annie:

Good. You are going back today, are you not ?

Dino:

Yes I’m going back.

Annie:

I shall be with you.

Dino:

Okay darling.

Annie:

They are very kind people. You are very fortunate, you know, in your friends. They are very for you - to you. Ah, it is wonderful to be able to come and talk with you. I look forward so much to it.

Dino:

You see now Leslie is going away to California.

Annie:

Ah?

Dino:

Leslie is going away to California in the new year.

Annie:

Ah, but only for a visit - not for good !

Dino:

No, for three months, so...

Annie:

Ah. But we will be able to communicate in the coming year.

Dino:

But, uh, he doesn’t know when...

Flint:

[Coughing]

Dino:

...when he is able to take...take up sittings again.

Annie:

Ah. Well I don’t know, but I do hope we can communicate in the future. I would be very disappointed, you know, if we could not. But no doubt it will be alright, uh?

Dino:

Okay darling.

Annie:

You look very good today, uh?

Dino:

I am darling, of course…

Annie:

You go for walks…

Dino:

Yes and, you know, talking with you puts…you have no idea. It puts new life into me.

Annie:

Oh well you know, I don’t know what to say sometimes I get very cross. You know, because I think I should have said this, I should have said that, you know. And I think to myself 'ah, I could have done better'. But I do the best I can you know. Every time you come here, I always come. I always do my best, you know. But I would like to do better.

Dino:

You know, I met Mr Neville Randall since we were talking last Monday.

Annie:

Uh-huh...

Dino:

And we have decided to carry on with the book. You know ?

Annie:

Do what ?

Dino:

We have decided to carry on with the book.

Annie:

Aha. And you are going to…

Dino:

Help him. And he says, 'ask her some questions' - which I am giving you. And one of the questions he put to me, he says, 'ask Annie what her experience was when she passed over from this world. How did she find…who came to meet her and how did she experience her passing?'

Annie:

Oh I was very…

Dino:

So I said I will put her the question.

Annie:

You know, when it happened to me I think I was much more conscious of you. I was very concerned for you.

Dino:

Oh yes, of course.

Annie:

…and for quite a while, you know, I found it very difficult to adjust myself, because all the time I was concerned over you. Because you were so - well you know - very unhappy.

Dino:

Did anyone come to meet you ?

Annie:

Ah, various people came to meet me. People that, um... some of them I did not know, but people to do with the family, way back you know.

Dino:

Yes I see.

Flint:

[Coughs]

Dino:

And how long was it since you found this house you are living in now ?

Annie:

Oh well that was not immediately. For a while I stayed with people - with friends and I was helped...you know, to adjust myself. I think what is important to remember, is that you have to gradually assimilate new knowledge [and] experience you know. You have to throw aside a lot of old ideas. Of course, what prevented me at first I think, from settling, was my concern for you. I...I...I knew how terrible you were, you know...

Dino:

Yes, I know.

Annie:

...how unhappy you were and how you were missing me and I spent a lot of time with you in the apartment. I tried desperately for you to know I was there, but I don’t know whether you realised how close I was.

Dino:

Oh yes of course I was. I realised very, very well.

Annie:

But it was like living in two worlds…

Dino:

…in two worlds, yes.

Annie:

…at the same time because, I was ever conscious of you. I was ever conscious of everything around and about you, in regard to the apartment and your work and friends and Mama and other people, you know. And I was visiting here and there and what was extraordinary was, I could not make anyone know I was there.

You were the only person who seemed to have some realisation of my presence - because you used to talk a lot to me.

Dino:

Yes. Oh yes I used to talk to your photos. [Laughing]

Annie:

I know you used to pick up my picture or stand in front of it and you used to say, so and so, I am here, you know - different things. And I knew what you were thinking.

Dino:

…and I used to kiss them - and even I do now.

Annie:

And, uh, under the pillow.

Dino:

Yes.

Annie:

Under the pillow.

Dino:

That’s right.

Annie:

You know, the cushion. Ah...

Dino:

And how long was it...

Annie:

But you know, what worried me was, I think that you did not sleep well.

Dino:

No. That's right.

Annie:

For a long time.

Dino:

Well I tell you. I felt as if I was a broken man…

Annie:

I know, but you see, what I was trying desperately to do, was impress you - and I wanted you to relax and to sleep.

Because when you are asleep, often you can be with me because you’re spirit - you yourself - are able to leave your body and come here and we can be together. And for quite a long time you were very restless and did not sleep well and you would pace around, you know. And, um, I got very depressed for you, you know, about you.

Flint:

[Coughing]

Dino:

And how long was it before you come in contact with Sybil and Peter ?

Annie:

Well that was almost immediate, but the point is, I know it sounds strange now, but I could not realise at first, that there could be any children. Because I thought to myself, this is impossible. I mean, it was not that I did not accept, in a way, but I thought well, you know, how can this be ?

Dino:

But you knew there were miscarriages ?

Flint:

[Coughs]

Annie:

Yes I know, but you must remember that when I was on your side, like most people - everybody - you don’t think of children under those circumstances. And when I arrived here, they were here and...of course, I was happy to be with them - to know of them.

Dino:

But did the children know that you were their Mama ?

Annie:

Yes. You see this is very strange. They knew of course that we were connected, that I was their Mama. But I never had any children as far as I was concerned.

Dino:

I mean physically…

Annie:

Yes, you see, I could at first, not accept the idea and I mean, it’s very difficult to put into words what I want to say.

Dino:

And does that happen with all the children...

Flint:

[Coughing]

Dino:

...in the world, today? Do they return to their Mama ?

Annie:

Erm, I don’t think in every case…

Dino:

Not in every case, there must be love?

Annie:

…I think unless their is a great bond...I mean, if there is a tremendous love, then that is a different thing. But so many - well - are not of love, you know.

Dino:

No, that’s right.

Do you know, today there are more children aborted than born in the world.

Annie:

Well that I think is wrong.

Dino:

Yes, but…

Annie:

I don’t know whether I should say, morally, but, um, I think it is wrong.

Dino:

Yes, but the world is so poor.

Annie:

I know, but, um...

Dino:

And the children come, whether they like it or not...

Annie:

I don’t know how to explain some things, you see, because man on Earth thinks purely on a material level…

Dino:

That’s right.

Annie:

…and he thinks only in a physical way. He does not seem to realise, at least many people do not realise, that it is of the mind and of the spirit. I mean, if you think from within your innermost self, on a mental and spiritual level, that is just as vital. In fact, it is of course more vital and more able to bring into being something - whether it is a child or whether it is something else - than the physical.

I mean, for instance, in the material world before you can create anything, you have to think about it and then you put your thoughts into action and you create.

And of course, the same applies, in a way, here. I mean, you cannot create anything unless you yourself make it possible by your thoughts. Everything here is created by the power of thought and it only becomes a reality if that thought is strong enough and if that thought is good enough. There can be no permanency about anything here, unless that which you are concerned with or thinking about, is something that is spiritually important or spiritually worthwhile…

Dino:

You know darling…

Annie:

…I mean, if you think on a lower level or a material level those things have no basis in truth and they have no basis in solidity or a basis, on this side, of permanence. Only that which is good can be created and remain here. All that is of a lower thought or lower condition has no bearing. It may temporarily have a purpose, but it has no permanent reality, you know.

That’s why, when we first come here, we still think, to some extent, materially and we cling to old ideas at first. But we have to release ourselves from those things and when the thought of them has departed from us, then we are free of those conditions which are purely material.

Dino:

Annie, can you talk to me...[Flint coughs]...tell me something about our house and the garden.

Annie:

Well it is very small I suppose, in a way. Yes. But it is adequate, it is sufficient. It is very pretty and vey nice.

Dino:

And there are separate rooms ?

Annie:

Yes and the children, of course, are with me and we have a beautiful garden. I think that is my chief joy, you know.

Dino:

How many rooms are there ?

Annie:

Oh well, I suppose when you talk about rooms, I suppose if I say five. But you see, we don’t need to eat, as you understand it…

Dino:

No, no, no.

Annie:

…so a kitchen as you term it, is not necessary and although we do retire and rest, it is not necessary to have what you would call bedrooms…

Dino:

No.

Annie:

…not in the same meaning. I mean here, if one has been doing something which means you have been very active…

Dino:

But er…

Annie:

…then of course if you wish, you can withdraw, temporarily, from whatever it is…

Dino:

But even…

Annie:

…and you can, if you put it like this, you can temporarily lose consciousness and that is a form of sleep - but it is not sleep as you understand it. It is relaxing oneself.

Dino:

But, do you have furniture and pictures and...?

Annie:

Yes, but these are things which are as real to us as yours are to you. But in the first instance one thinks of these things. You see now, when you first come here, or early...you think certain things are necessary and essential to you and your thoughts, being creative, are able, temporarily, to create these things, but they have no permanency, because they are only temporary thoughts which you cling to while they are essential to you. But as you progress you realise that many of these things are not important. I mean, for instance, when you first come here, you may feel the need for certain things...

Dino:

Yes.

Annie:

…but these are purely material needs or material thoughts and since you are no longer in a material world as such, like you know, when on Earth, then temporarily you may have those things, but you soon lose the desire for them and then let go.

Dino:

And do you look after the garden and…

Flint:

[Coughs]

Annie:

Yes, but you know, I don’t know how to explain certain things. I would not want you to think that you just think of something automatically and then, there it is. You have to become...I suppose if the work is worthy of it, I don’t know - but you cannot just create for pleasure alone. You have to be creative from the point of view of being of service, not just only for yourself, but for others.

I mean, what I want to try to explain is, there are people here who love to create, who love to construct. And there are people here who love to use materials and we have all manner and kinds of materials, which I suppose, there is no counterpart on Earth. There are substances of which I could not even begin to explain to you. There are people who like to create music…

Dino:

You mean you create your own truth ?

Annie:

Yes but you see, it is not necessarily just something that you think about and there it is. You have to also, as one progresses that is, realise the need to make some effort, in a sense, where you use substances which can be used to create.

I mean, you don’t suddenly find....in the beginning, to some extent, you do create by your thoughts - inasmuch that you live in a kind of an illusion, I suppose.

But when that has gone, when you have reacted to the vibrations and the conditions of your new existence and seen the possibilities and you have listened to advice and the encouragement from others who’ve been here for, perhaps as you term time, a long time, then you begin to realise that the time...the initial stages, are over for you. Then you begin to want to do something constructive and then you don’t only do it just by thought, you do it by effort, by action.

And, uh, for instance, great musicians still compose great works here and great artists still create wonderful works of art. It may be in various ways. I mean, for instance, we have many things here which you don’t have. I mean, our spectrum is greater, the colours in this world are, oh, so tremendous, you know.

Dino:

Yes. Do you...do you have neighbours around the house ?

Annie:

Oh yes, we have people around and about in the community and there are many people.

Dino:

And you have friends around, you see them ?

Flint:

[Coughing]

Annie:

I think it is natural that people of like mind and of like interest you see, will gather together and form a community. And you become part of that community and you do work together and sometimes, for instance, um, when there is a disaster or some terrible thing happening in your world, a group of souls from this world will band together and form a unit and we will come down to Earth to help people.

For instance, if there has been a big disaster like an earthquake or something of that nature, then thousands of souls from this world of ours or different parts of this world, because it a vast - I mean it is so vast, this world. I mean, I only know a small fraction of it.

Dino:

Darling, tell me, how do you spend the average day ? You are with me most of the time…

Annie:

Well, we are not subject to day and night, not as you understand it. We don’t have day and night, not in the way in which you have. We have an awareness, of course, of time.

Dino:

But the children…

Annie:

We’re not subject to time as you are.

Dino:

No. The children work separately ? You don’t all go together to work ?

Annie:

No, no. We have different interests of course, although we have much in common. But I am very interested in working with young people, with children that come over and I have a lot to do with the young people who need help and encouragement - and what you would term, I suppose, education.

Dino:

…and Sybilla and Peter the same ?

Annie:

Oh yes, but Peter, he does a lot of work with young people and has a great deal to do with helping young people over. And he is much more concerned I think, with working nearer the Earth, from the point of view of helping souls over who perhaps die, as you term it, under tragic circumstances.

Dino:

Yes, I see.

Annie:

I mean, you’ll get someone who was perhaps killed in an accident, a young person on a motorbike or something, and he attaches himself to young people.

Dino:

Yes, there are many people who die like that.

Annie:

Oh far too many people. You see, we are very conscious of your world and we are very aware of the tragedy of your world, because there is so much going on. There are so many people who are creating a great deal of unhappiness in the world and we try, as best we can, to help influence. It’s very difficult.

Dino:

And of course you try to learn things also...[Flint coughs]... like music and…

Annie:

Of course you see Peter…young people over here, they are often around your world, gaining knowledge and experience from watching and listening. I mean with Gladys and the little girl in the car**, she is obviously a child who has not been over here very long.

Dino:

No. Do you know who that girl is ?

Flint:

[Coughs]

Annie:

Well, I only know - I don’t really know very much about it - but I know that they call her Sheila.

Dino:

Call her ?

Annie:

Sheila.

Dino:

Sheila. Yes, that’s right.

Annie:

That is the only thing I know, that they call the child Sheila.

Dino:

She’s very clear.

Annie:

She’s a pretty child, I believe.

Dino:

I first though it was Sybilla, but it isn’t.

Annie:

Oh no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no !

No, no, they are grown up. They are not children any more really, not in that way, uh?. You are more of a child than they are.

Dino:

[Laughing]

Annie:

No that’s true, do you know that ?

Dino:

Yes.

Annie:

No, it’s true. Well you see, they have the advantage of having been here for a long time now. At least from your point of view in years, you know. And they have assimilated a great deal of knowledge and experience. And most of their life, well all of their life really, has been of a spiritual nature.

The only material aspect is what they have gained by coming back to Earth and taking an interest in you - as I do - and also watching and assimilating experience and knowledge from your world. Most of which is purely on a material level, which quite frankly, has very little interest for them. I mean like they...like to come and help people, yes, but there is so much misery and so much unhappiness in your world.

There’s so much hatred among people and nations and really, the more one thinks about it, the more blessed we feel that we have…

Dino:

Been out of it ?

Annie:

Been out of it, yes. I suppose that is the way to look at it.

Dino:

[Laughs]

Annie:

I mean, the children have never been, in a way, touched by material things, whereas you have, I have. But we have been very blessed, because we have assimilated a great deal of the spiritual realisation about life. We know that we are spiritual beings, even though when I was on your Earth, and as you still are, encased in material flesh. The body, the physical body, is only the outer covering. It’s not the real you, any more than it was the real me - I am as I truly am and to some extent, so are you.

But you are having to try, as best you can that is, to express yourself in a material way through a material agency, the body, you know. The body is not you, it is part of you while you are on Earth, but that’s not really you. You are indestructible, because you are of the spirit like me. We are, I don’t know, it’s - this is what makes it all so wonderful to me; that I know with absolute assurance that this is only a temporary thing, this material existence, as you indeed know.

Dino:

Yes, yes exactly.

Annie:

But we are not separated. We have never, ever been separated. Mentally and spiritually we are as one, you know. This is what is important, uh? 

Dino:

But I feel that too and you see, the power of telepathy is also very, very important.

Annie:

We are in tune.

Dino:

Yes.

Annie:

We are as one.

Dino:

Yes.

Annie:

It is... I don't know how to put it in words. All I know is, that we are never, and have never been separate, you know. Always we have been as one. Of course, there are things that one can't explain, all I know is, that your constant thoughts of me have made me very happy, of course. At the same time, I would not be truthful...as truthful, if I did not say, there have been times when I have been unhappy about you or concerned about you - because I don't like to see you unhappy.

I like to see you happy and be brave and be cheerful. And I know how much you miss the physical presence. But it is the mental and the spiritual that is vital - that is the reality. That is the part of both of us that will live beyond the physical material things, which...well, they are still, to some extent, to you important, but not to me.

Dino:

But there are certain times, say, for instance, the evenings in the Earth time, you know, we are together...

Annie:

Yes, oh yes.

Dino:

...and when I am asleep.

Annie:

Well, of course, for me... [Laughing]...and perhaps I'm being...I hope I am not being selfish, but for me, the best time is when you are 

asleep. Because then you are, invariably, with me. This is why I would like you to sleep more.

Dino:

Yes.

Annie:

But of course, you get up very early.

Dino:

Yes. And you feel, sometimes, as you get older, you need less and less sleep.

Annie:

I know. But, uh...like Napolean, uh!

Dino:

Yes. [Laughing]

Annie:

I believe he only had half an hours sleep or something, I don't know.

Dino:

But you see, it is natural, as you get older...

Annie:

I would not know, because I did not get old like you.

Dino:

No…[Laughs]

Annie:

Poor man! You are the one who has to stay and get very old. But if you got as old as Methuselah, I would still love you. But you’re not really old in a way are you ? I mean you are old as in years, yes in a way, but you are constantly young in heart. And you are physically pretty good you know.

Dino:

Yes, but it’s the mind that matters.

Annie:

Oh, I think it is important to remember always that what you feel, what you think, is really you…

Dino:

Yes.

Annie:

…and your physical body, to some extent, will react accordingly. Of course the body will get...like a machine and I suppose it will run down and some parts won’t work too well…

Dino:

Yes, all the [unintelligible] will wear out.

Annie:

But I think you are...well, I think, very good. I mean you have recently had the operation and all that, and that's a nuisance and has been rather uncomfortable, but that is finished and you are getting better. I...I think when the...I always tell you this; that when the time comes it will be quietly and peacefully in your sleep.

Dino:

That will be very nice.

Annie:

I don’t think for one moment that you will have a long illness. I am sure you will not have to go and have treatments or things like that.

Dino:

No.

Annie:

I have always said - and I know this is so - when the time comes you will go quietly and peacefully to me.

Dino:

I suppose you have got a room ready for me ?

Annie:

Oh you don’t know, when you come here what a reception it will be for you.

Dino:

Uh?

Annie:

What a big...wonderful reception for you when you come.

Dino:

You know, I have got impressions about this house, that it is like an Italian style house.

Annie:

Well, mmm...I suppose in a kind of way, you could say...

Dino:

And floors are always shining like, you know, marble and alabaster.

Annie:

Well, um...I wonder if...well, I don’t know whether to say yes or no to that.

Dino:

Well that is the impression I get when I wake up.

Annie:

Yes, maybe...but, um...I think, what you are thinking about is not my house - not the house, but the reception hall where thousands of souls come over, temporarily during sleep, to be with friends and to be with loved ones.

You know there are magnificent buildings here. I suppose what you would say, like Greek temples…

Dino:

Yes.

Annie:

...in a way...something like. Which are what we call reception centres…

Dino:

Reception centres ?

Annie:

…where people come sometimes, in the initial stages of their coming here, or perhaps where their friends come to visit during sleep. No, our house is very modest, it isn't big. It is very pleasant, very nice, but you cannot put into words, things, sometimes.

Dino:

I suppose when I pass over I’ll come direct to you ?

Annie:

Oh Dada, I shall be beside you!

Dino:

[Laughing]

Annie:

Don’t worry you won’t have to come to me, I shall be there to take you by the hand. We shall be together - oh I have to go, what a pity. The power is going, but the children send their love. I can’t hold on. But I just want you to know how joyous and happy I have been to come to you. Darling and don’t worry, everything is going to be alright. My love will always sustain you.

Dino:

Okay darling, thank you very much.

Annie:

Bye. God be with you. All my love. Love from the children. I have to go.

Dino:

And give them my love.

Annie:

I love you. Bye.

Dino:

Bye bye.

Mickey:

Oh she did marvellously well. As good as I’ve ever heard her. I think she gets better and better. Anyway, I’ll see you again shan’t I,
next year? Yes and a happy Christmas.

Dino:

And take care of my Leslie.

Mickey:

Oh he’ll be alright. Bye-bye.

Dino:

Bye-bye.

Flint:

Bye-bye Mickey. [Coughs]

Dino:

She was very good.
