Sir Oliver Lodge

Sir Oliver Lodge was born on the 12th June 1851, he was to become one of the most important scientific figures of the 20th century and one of the forefathers of radio signal development, loudspeaker technology and the electromagnetic devices our world is now dominated by.
What few people know is that his scientific dedication to the energy forces we can not see in our physical world, was also his inspiration and fascination that led him into the ethereal. He was one of the most dedicated and hardworking scientists of his time in the scientific study of psychical research.

Being president of the Society for Psychical Research in London from 1901-1903 he was not afraid to put his name on the line when it came to his beliefs. Which were a world beyond the three dimensional physical existence we inhabit.
Now this was coming from the same man that was one of the first along with Tesla and Marconi to demonstrate the practical applications of radio waves. Showing to the world what was previously an impossibility at the time, sending and receiving information at lightning speeds through thin air.
One of the most important and revolutionary breakthroughs in our history and a major step forward in what was to be achieved in the later twentieth century.
”However the facts are to be explained there is no further room in my mind for doubt. Any person without invincible prejudice who had had the same experience would come to the same broad conclusion, that things held impossible do actually occur.”
His belief in an ethereal domain was questioned many times, but he never relented, and amazingly it is now in the 21st century, as the confines of relativity, being the be all and end all of our physical and spiritual existence is in serious debate, the same questions are being asked again.

Things that were once thought inconceivable by a two dimensional scientific community but were championed by Sir Oliver Lodge, Tesla and others in their pioneering ability to ponder the unknown are now being validated on a daily basis.
Wireless electricity, electromagnetic wave generation and dark matter which were subdued and withheld by the government and mocked in 1900 are now cutting edge realities in 2011.
His personal experiences had convinced him that he was on the right track to try and map out the world that he could not see, taste, or touch, but was a constant part of our existence.
