We still have the same character, we are no better, or no worse,and know there are all sorts of conditions of life which are necessary. To the highly evolved Soul, the Soul on earth who has progressed already mentally and Spiritually to a higher degree, then he can by-pass certain spheres which are nearer the earth. All these things I think are logical, they are sensible. In the old days one was taught that when you die, either that you go to, if you had been very good, you go to a very high sphere, then you would be in the presence of God, and a lot of people imagine that He is a wonderful venerable old man on a big throne with a big beard, and very sort of harsh, you know, who is going to judge you and tell you you've got to go down THERE,or you can stay HERE,or if you are a Catholic you go to purgatory for a time. All this is of course man's fiction, man's fictitious ideas, creative ideals of things.

This is very old history that man has brought into being which does not exist in reality. There is always so many interesting things to do and places to visit, things to discuss and things to learn. People always find something of interest to do. Perhaps it may be that somebody when on earth did not have the opportunity to study in a certain direction. Here they can study, experiment and it depends, of course, what it is that they are most interested in. Everyone here finds work, as you would say, that is of a congenial nature to them. In other words they can do the sort of things which possibly on earth was not possible. Things which were out of to question for them. If someone on earth, for instances, would have liked to be a great musician,here they can study the instrument,they can practice; they can go to concerts; they can converse with great musicians; they can be shown methods and ways to express themselves.

That is only one of the thousands of things that one can do, Maybe a man has a liking for a garden. Here then he can study flowers, he can learn more about the garden itself and about plant life and he can have a beautiful garden to start, as you say, from the beginning, to develop it and keep it in good condition and make it beautiful. Then there are great parks, great places where there are what you would call, I suppose, professional artists who can create and do create magnificent displays, and then there are great vast areas of beautiful scenery, beautiful lakes, mountains. There is everything that you would asociate in the way of nature and, in the way of beauty in life here.Much more so than on earth.

Everything that is beautiful and of value, things that give great joy and pleasure to people on earth exist here but more so. I am very well of course and very busy in various ways. I have been to, I suppose what you would call Lecture Halls, that is where there are people from different places who come to speak and to educate,I suppose is the word, but it does not really mean quite what I want it to mean. It is as if we are being taught and yet at the same time no-one is lecturing in the sense it is really a discriptive,it is almost as if you were going to a Movie but not quite like that either. It is not a film but it is a transmission of thought. Various people from different places, different spheres sometimes visit. They come and they demonstrate the power of,I suppose, themselves in a kind of way. It is as if they transmit thought into a pictureization of things and are able to demonstrate in a reality, at least so it seems while it is happening of incidents and happenings concerning their lives in their own environment. It is an object lesson. It is a transmission, realisation of aspects of life and knowledge.

Experiences which are unfamiliar to us, but of course their idea is to give us encouragement and, of course, there are other aspects too. There are Souls here who are anxious to help others to progress in other directions as individuals and personalities. In helping them to appreciate beauty in Art, Music, Literature. We have great libraries of books. There is everything that one would wish for that is of value to man. Experiences of individual Souls. Highly progressed individuals through different experiences of lives, many lives. It is as if there is a record almost you might say of every human being. That is something which is very difficult to explain because whatever I say to you I must bring down to a certain level of consciousness, so that you can appreciate or understand it and in consequence the reality of what one wishes to convey is very much in consequence effected.

There are vast places here where, I suppose, it is possible for thousands and thousands of people without number to congregate and they can listen to great music by great composer, conducted orchestras often by the composers themselves, new works appertaining to aspects of life as it has been experienced and when the music is being transmitted or played so it is that you can see the 'picture-ization' almost like a Movie in the atmosphere. Certain aspects of life which the music suggests or which the music interprets, it is as if music has become a greater or more fuller reality and it is not only just sound but it is also sight. This is impossible to explain to any one but also there are Theatres and places where performances are given or what, I suppose, in a kind of way, are morality plays but not in the old fashioned sense, the material sense of morality plays but lives of individual Souls that have progressed through great adversity. It is as if ycu can learn from the lives of others.

Sometimes people themselves can project their image and project their thoughts, project their past. It is as if everything that has happened of any consequence in human life it can be reconstructed, it can be brought into vision, it can be brought into consciousnes by the power of certain individuals who have trained themselves or have learned the method and the way. There are many things which it is impossible to put into words but life here is so different in so many different ways that one can never hope to discribe it to you. For instance, if you wanted to see a work, the work of a person,it might be someone who had given a great deal of pleasure, happiness to many people through the agency of his artistic endeavour, then everything of a creative nature that has been worthwhile in the evolution and development of that person's artistry is here and it can be viewed if it is a picture, or if it is music, it can be listened to.

People who love music can learn to play instruments although it is true to say that when you become highly evolved it is not necessary to have an instrument to create sound, this can be done by a thought process but there are those naturally on certain Spheres who want the pleasure of learning to play a piano or whatever the instrument may be and they can be taught and they can be helped by musicians to learn these instruments, but the apex, as it were, of progress is to be able to create sound to music without the aid of artificial instruments. It is very difficult to explain this because there are people who love to create in a very ordinary way, for instance, people who love to make things with their hands, perhaps there may be someone from your world who has had no opportunity when on earth to be creative, here they have every opportunity.

Perhaps someone who had to work in a factory all their lives, and they would like for instance, to make articles of furniture, well here, they can do this if they wish. It is an opportunity that is offered to everyone to be useful, to be a member of society in sense, that is if one wants for the common good whatever one does. All this is very difficult to explain, words, words, words, you know. every aspect of life here whatever sphere or plane one may be in, that particular world, is a solid real world and there are all manner of substances which can be used. It is possible for someone to design material and to make material and clothes. You know, people seem to think that all you do, you think of a dress and then you wear it. That may apply and does apply to highly evolved souls where their thought forces are so predomanent and so powerful, but the average person who has just come over here into their own particular environment, their lives in some respects are not dissimilar from the material world.

There are houses in which they live, their houses have furnishings according to their taste, but there again they can only be according to whether they merit it. That is why there is some spheres where people live in what you would call hovels because their actions and their thoughts are of a material nature and are still clinging to them. They havn't progressed very far. Everyone is, as it were automatically creating their own environment by their thoughts and actions that is why when a person leaves your world they will find themselves in the circumstances or condition which is best suited for them, which they themselves have made possible,that is why when on earth, it is important to as far as possible,to create in your life all that is good, all tiat is fine and beautiful. Something, that is of the mind and of the Spirit and on a higher level.

Even though one is living in a difficult material world there is no reason why a person should not,to some extent at least, make the attempt to be mentally and spiritually aware, conscious, and to even overcome to a great extent the diversity and condition of life which, at sometime, is very difficult. You know, people sometimes must, for instance, on earth, live in an unpleasant atmosphere but in a strange way they can imbue that atmosphere or change that atmosphere by their thoughts. Like someone may go into a bad room and it is shabby and uninteresting but with a little effort and a little time, it is possible to, with making a special effort, to change things. With a little cover and a little something of themselves they can make it much nicer. That is how it is with peoples lives. They must overcome the worser side of things and try to create in a Spiritual and in a mental sense in such a way that they can transform themselves and perhaps influence those around and about them.

There is so much that eventually I wish very much for you to have to put into the book. Many of the things which are material and common to our experiences and life here. But how to find words which will convey sufficiently in a clear way to be understood properly. Everything that I tell you has to come down to a material level for it to be appreciated or understood and, in consequence, much is lost, how you say, lost in it's impact. This is something so far removed of course from the consciousness and the awaereness of the things of the earth that so much is lost in the consequence of the transmitting it. I feel that it must be a very poor reproduction of the reality of experience here.

That is my problem,how to explain things to you, when there are no words off hand to explain something which is totally unlike and different to the things of earth. Still I try, but this is my big problem, not so much what to say, but how to say it, how to explain it so that it can be understood without being distorted. I don't think anyone from this side when it is, how you say, analysed can convey with any real clarity the picture of life here. We give you the outline but the rest has to be filled in by your own imagination. We can give you something that is like a sketch but the colour and the texture of everything is something that you must try to fill in, this is not easy for some people. Some people, indeed, find it impossible, in consequence, it is very much in some respects like the material life by the description because it is the nearest we can approach to it.

That is why we often say that our world, I am refering to certain spheres in our world, or certain conditions in our world, are very similar to us, from the point of view of nature. We have great expanse of beautiful scenery, woods, fields, rivers, lakes, flowers, birds and animals of all descriptions who live in harmony. Everything here is harmonious, nothing lives off the other but everything contributes to the other. It is as if everything is living in complete and absolute oneness and at peace. There is great tranquility and there is sound and there is what you might call music of a, kind, which emanates from the natural surroundings and conditions of life here and when man enters into this new world or this aspect of the new world, he also is in harmony with it, and the souls who are evolved sufficiently on certain spheres, not only are they part of this life in the sense that they are in tune or in harmony with but they are also making a valuable contribution to it.

There are people whose work it is, to conceive or to design with the help of other souls, buildings which are very beautiful and the structure of the buildings is such that they are pleasant to the eye and many of them house many people who have their own way of life and yet are living in harmony with the rest of the community. We have vast communities of people in, what you would call, I suppose, towns and some small communities that you perhaps would call villages but this is very difficult to explain because immediately we start to talk about towns or buildings then immediately you put a material construction on these things, which I suppose is natural, but we are able to create by the power of thought and that which we create is of ourselves.

There is a beauty which is far removed from the material conception. I do not say that there are not beautiful buildings on the earth but when one looks back over history one realises that the .e beauty of line and the beauty of construction and colour, materials etc. that were used in ancient times like the Greeks. There is great dignity and artistry in the method and the way in which a place is built and designed, so here in this world you have souls who are particularly keen to utilise their knowledge and experience of their ability to design and construct. Of course, on certain spheres much lower down on lower conditions of life where there are not so many people who are deeply involved in evolution, you have buildings which are not so attractive, but to the people who inhabit that place to them then no doubt they will be attractive and will be of some purpose. You see, everything is a matter of graduation, of evolution, of what you are, so you do automatically create or construct.

You cannot, for instance, construct or bring into being something which is not from, within yourself. If you have not reached a certain level of progression then obviously you will stay on that plane to which you are best suited and therefor the environment of that condition of life will be what is best for you, in consequence, everything around and about that particular Sphere will be accordingly in harmony but to someone on a much higher Sphere of evolution entering into that condition of life, this Sphere of which I speak, this lower Sphere would be not harmonous.
